Women of online entrepreneurs of WE Colorful Fest proved their worth offline
Apart from house management, they do business staying at home. They produce household goods themselves. They also sell these everyday products like sari, jewelry, spices and sell those on social media, e-commerce platforms or on their own websites.
On Wednesday, at the Marriott Convention Center in Dhanmondi, thousands of women entrepreneurs appeared at the 'WE Colorful Fest' with stalls selling their own exquisite and exceptional products. And many people have come from different parts of the capital to see and buy these poroducts. This gathering of entrepreneurs became the focus of the day-long walks of the visitors.
Some of the entrepreneurs said that they were able to sell products worth half a lakh taka within two hours of coming to the fair. They are very happy about it.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi inaugurated the two-day festival at noon. Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology, inspired the organizers of the fair by getting connected online.
In his inaugural address, Chief Guest Tipu Munshi said, “It is truly remarkable that WE is doing such a wonderful thing with women. WE has now become a platform where women can rest assured that they will be able to take their initiative forward in the future.”
He thanked Nasima Akter Nisha for such an initiative with women.
He added that the Ministry of Commerce will always try to be on the side of WE for the overall cooperation of women.
Special guest Zunaid Ahmed Palak said, "WE always thinks and acts differently about women. We Colorful Fest is such a different event. That is why about 12 lakh women associated with WE are able to move forward very well." In the future, they will be able to do better and move forward with WE's hand.
Nasima Akhter Nisha, Founder and President of WE, said about the WE Colorful Fest, "We have always wanted to do something good for women entrepreneurs, and part of that good thing is WE Colorful Fest." Where entrepreneurs are able to showcase their domestic products. Domestic products scattered all over Bangladesh are also coming up. WE will always be by the side of women with many more such events in the future.
